    My Friend, Lucky

My friend, Lucky, is a Yellow Lab. He is enduring his second round of chemotherapy - in fact he is at the vet’s office as we speak. He weighs over 80 pounds and is having difficulty with his back legs. His mother just ordered a really cool product to help him. It is called The Bottom’s Up Leash.

I have never seen this kind of helper leash before and I think it is just great. I’ll let you know how it works when Lucky’s mom receives it. Meanwhile, a little prayer for Lucky would be appreciated.

    Something Fun

I just saw this and had to let you know about it. It’s called ‘What kind of music would your dog like to hear?’ Check it out. I voted. What about you?

    Tillie’s Fear 1 reply

Tillie, my wonderful Corgi, is petrified of loud noises. She is a rescue dog so I have no clue what happened to her early in her life to make her so afraid. When there are loud noises like thunder, firecrackers, gunshots, etc. she shakes uncontrollably, hides in the corner and pants loudly.

I think it might bother me more than her! I took her to the vet last year before July 4 and he prescribed Valium for her. He said to make sure that she started taking it early in the day or it wouldn’t work. So - on the morning of July 4 I gave her one pill. What I didn’t think about was that she had not eaten yet so she had Valium on an empty stomach! Yes - you guessed it. She started staggering. At that point I thought about taking a Valium myself!

Right then I said ‘No more Valium for her’. But then we had a thunderstorm - a really big one. More shaking and panting and hiding. I read about Dr. Bach’s Rescue Remedy. It is for humans but many people use it for their pets. Since I would do almost anything to help Tillie not be afraid, I ordered some. We just had our second thunderstorm since she started taking it and she is fine. She isn’t happy about the thunder but she is not shaking, panting or hiding.

I highly recommend it. You can check it out at drugstore.com. No - I am not an affiliate and I don’t make a penny from this. It’s just a great product that has helped Tillie a lot and I want you to know about it.

Should I make a disclaimer about your results might not be the same as Tillie’s? I don’t think so - I believe you know that already.

    Feedblitz

I just added Feedblitz. Look to the right and under the heading marked ‘Feedblitz’. Just enter your e-mail address and Feedblitz will notify you whenever there is a new post.

This is better than an aggregator. You will only be notified when you have a new post to read.

I’m leaving the title of this post alone. It’s the title of the welcome post from WordPress. I finally migrated my Blogger blog to WordPress. Please be patient as I check the links and get everything squared away.
